The other part to the suit is its overall confidence it exudes both within ourselves and onto others. But is the suit only suitable in a certain environment? Your girl is here to say NO WAY! White Summer Shorts Suit

Shorts suits' ultimate-feminine take on menswear is one Spring/Summer trend I can jump onboard for. I love mixing soft and hard pieces together, and because I'm also not necessarily either in particular, it's a great way to showcase my style while also having fun doing it. (and perhaps simultaneously taking care of business.) And this kind of trendy suit is more than 'suitable' in warmer temperatures, especially for busy working gals who don't have time to change in between work and evening functions. I adore a day-to-night look because a simple but stylish outfit can be carried throughout the entire day, so long as you carry yourself well too. And what suit doesn't give a woman an added boost of confidence? Let me show you how to style a shorts suit just in time for summer!

Sometimes when petite or shorter girls wear something like a shorts suit, they need additional help in elongating their legs. If you're a little bit disproportionate in terms of measurements, wear a heel of some kind. To give even more length, a strappy sandal would definitely fit the bill. But if you want to go for a more traditional look, I'd go for some oxfords like I styled here. I love the nude/faded-blush tone in these Vagaband oxfords because it helps focus on the main attraction, which is the shorts suit. To balance the color out with the shoes, I chose a lighter pink colored rock -n- roll bag and a carnation pink silk camisole top.

The beautifully cut singlet top is from NA-KD Fashion, featuring thin straps in a racerback design and is light as a feather. I've never been a huge fan of pink, but other shades such as dusty pinks, and other blush tones have been making me grow more fond of the feminine color. Perhaps it never really was a girly color, but more of an empowering one. Now that I think about it since when has pink ever really been a soft or weak color? There are a few reasons why I love this particular shorts suit. One it's fresh and crisp white color is so clean for summer. Two, it's materials, such as the texturized fabric for both the blazer and shorts is pretty fantastic, and three, the pearl details on the pockets of each piece is almost too good, am I right? Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?

Today on the blog I’m showing you how to style a simple graphic tee with a collegiate vibe! This look is perfect for this temperamental weather that won't fully click into Spring just yet! (Even though it's the first day of spring... :::eyes rolling:::) With one of my oldest suit jackets I styled the Scooby-Doo t-shirt with ripped boyfriend jeans and loafers to give a casual chic look. I'm really digging the fit and comfort of the jeans. They're from a cute California boutique called Vagabond Honey and I love the boyish tone it brings to my look. To also bring a school-ish feel to my outfit I also accessorized with my Jill-E Designs smart tablet purse bag, a pair of retro shades and this cute choker I found to be so fitting with the t-shirt.

The choker is cute and gives the look a tiny edge while keeping it cool and laidback, and with my partner in crime, MaQ, no less, this is really one of my everyday looks for Spring! A lot of you have been asking about him, and I know you are missing him in action so I HAD to bring him in for a little feature of course (more dog content coming your way in early April), and short, adorable story: If MaQ had the voice of one character, I always have believed it to be Scoobs. I think every pet owner comes across this thought and has one person in particular for the part. Ha ha ha! I know it sounds silly, but I know it's true! He sends lots of bbo boo... MaQ has learned how to kiss in Korean! ;)

I got the Scooby-Doo tee, studded choker and the sunnies (all for under $75 together) from a shopping app called Luv.it, which I’ve previously written about them in this post. The app features smaller brands that you wouldn’t normally find at department stores, such as this graphic Scooby-Doo t-shirt which is from a brand called Eleven Paris or these amazing tortoise sunglasses from 80s Purple. I love how the app has a strong mix of styles from higher-end brands to middle and lower. One of my ultimate dreams in New York City has come true! It was so hard to keep it hush-hush for about a week now, but I am delighted and very excited to finally be able to tell you guys all about it! Sometime last week, I was having a very rough start to my morning and was really feeling under the weather, but I like to start my day by taking walks with MaQ, especially when I'm feeling down. Just the two of us roaming the streets of New York never fails to inspire me to keep going.

That morning was kind of cold. You know, those spring mornings where it's only slightly warm being in the sun. I was going to keep it a brisk walk and take MaQ out for a longer one later on in the day, as I had so much work to do. But, because I wasn't feeling 100% and the fact that I walk around to clear my head, I opted for a longer route and went to one of his favorite parks in New York City, Washington Square Park. He loves to find sticks to chew and play with, accompanying me while I people-watch and take snapshots. Suddenly, a deep male voice from behind said, "Excuse me, do you mind if I take a picture of your dog?" But before I could reply, he graciously continued. "I run The Dogist... I'm not sure if you've heard about us..."

My jaw dropped to the ground and I was beaming. Ever since Elias Weiss Friedman had created The Dogist in October of 2013, I've been following him religiously. With nearly 2 million followers on Instagram and over 10,000 photos of dogs from around the world, he's got my (well one at least) dream job, chasing dogs and traveling. I just never saw the man behind the camera! We had a blast shooting with Elias and his assistants, MaQ took his role as a supermodel VERY seriously. Lastly, here's my look of the day! Grey tones meet casual chic with a long suit jacket from H&M, Steve Madden open-toe ankle booties and Forever 21 skinny jeans. It's one of my favorite comfy go-to looks. You can totally keep doing your #GIRLBOSS thang in this outfit. Sadly, due to grey tones not only being a part of this look, the weather did not allow us to film this look for the week. Boo, to rain! But don't worry, more to come soon, soon, soon! Stay tuned...
