Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far, I've got a new post today featuring two new designers I styled a look together and the theme? Full on 90's vibes with a hint of grunge and disco! When it comes to styling, I love mixing trends from different eras which is so much fun! I believe in fashion one should never stay inside a particular box but rather take chances and explore their creative sides. After all, fashion is a constant form of expression and should never be a form of fear, doubt and/or other insecurities. If you dress well, you will feel well. And they make a lasting first impression when it comes to networking and business opportunities. In a city like the Big Apple, you never know who you're going to meet let alone run into! So in today's editorial shoot, I wanted to share a look that can go from a business dinner to a night out dancing with the girls. Check out the complete look that's sensual, playful and edgy at the same time!

I recently discovered deuxA; reflects the designer's name by throwing emphasis on the first and last letter in 'AnnalizA'; metaphorically indicating there is always a beginning to every end. Unique and individual prints lay the cornerstones of AnnalizA's designs. Detailed attention towards diversity in textures and materials, such as this black ruffled-back blouse with pearl details on the sleeves and front. I'm completely obsessed with the back, it reminds me of a flamenco dancer yet with the detail from the pearls it transforms the blouse to something more contemporary. I'd totally wear this with some ripped skinny jeans and heels too for a more casual look but you can pretty much pair this blouse with some many other pieces, even a maxi skirt, overalls, leather pants and more!

The metallic skirt with a lilac tint is from MKT Studio. This Parisian brand aims for ultra-feminine looks with a casual, authentic and grungy feel. They want to avoid superfluous details. MKT Studio offers modern women the chance to create a wardrobe with gorgeous clothing at an affordable price. I'm a huge fan of anything metallic, but the subtle purple-based color of the skirt blows my mind. It's eye-catching and unique and can sparkle up any outfit. It'd even be cute with a crisp white blouse or a different contrasted metallic material and/or color.

Silver hoop earrings are from Rosegal and my favorite ankle boots are from Steve Madden. (I also styled a completely different look with the same boots in my last post here.) The headphones and CD/cassette/radio player are vintage (almost ha ha ha!) and Sony. I styled this look in a more rundown location to keep up with the grungy vibes, what do you guys think of this editorial shoot? Would you like to see more style posts like these? I have to say that I really love coming up with visual stories such as this one... I do love hearing back from my readers though! Happy Monday! New York City's spring has not sprung yet and we're about to embark in one last blizzard (hopefully) of the winter season. A blizzard in NYC means over a foot of snow, so I know a lot of my fellow Michiganders are scratching their heads over this ha, ha but it went from a foot to now two feet... and I had an early meeting at a showroom tomorrow that just got postponed! I bet I'm not the only one who is SICK of the cold and nasty-ass weather.

But this won't stop me from showing you my new favorite spring piece for the upcoming season! Prints are still on-trend but those unique finds that aren't only suiting your personal taste but complement with your already-diverse wardrobe are what gets me excited to style it. I've been searching for a kimono that not only flattered my petite frame but was also not a clichΓ© type one (sorry folks, I've seen far too many that make my eyes cringe.) But when I stumbled upon this one from Rosegal, it wasn't just the print that caught my eye. The details such as the length and the velvet straps on the sleeves and waistline made my heart skip a beat.

I styled the ankle length kimono wrap with a pair of Rosegal black jeans that have such a fun fringe on the ends. To give the rough edges a soft subtlety at the same time, I wore mules with a low heel. The black suede also make them super comfy to walk around in, I just wish it was a little warmer so I can actually start wearing them! My favorite black sweater from Zara is also a great transitional piece from winter to spring, especially on those chillier days. This blue bag by Little E NYC is made from genuine full grain leather with a beautiful faux ostrich skin texture. I love the size of the bag as it can easily fit my iPad and other work essentials while running around the city. And how chic is it for spring?! Lastly, I've linked a similar pair of my vintage jasmine hoop earrings down below.

Golden Girl

WEARING: ROSE GAL METALLIC GOLD MINI SCALLOPED DRESS |
NINA RICCI SHOES | KENDRA SCOTT CARLA EARRINGS

THIS POST IS SPONSORED BY ROSE GAL.

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas weekend! What are you doing New Year's Eve? If you haven't found the perfect dress for the occasion, allow me to lend a helping hand! Gold is IN right now. And with this Rose Gal metallic mini scalloped dress, you'll be dancing the night away in no time! I paired the dress with champagne-colored satin slingbacks from Nina Ricci. I feel it complements well with the metallic as too much of anything, such as metallic on top of metallic, can be too much. The Kendra Scott Carla earrings are the loveliest droplets for this kind of glam holiday look.

So... are you more of the going out type on New Year's? Or do you like to stay in and cuddle at home for the big event? I, myself, don't mind either and have done my fair share of both. I think when you're young and/or single it's a grand ole time to be out painting the town red. But sometimes it's really great to just spend time with the ones you love. If I have one tradition on New Year's, it's definitely with a bottle of champagne! I love Veuve Cliquot especially, do you have a favorite tradition on New Year's? I hope whatever it is that you do, that it is spent with the ones you love and cherish most in the world. Life's too short for nothing less than extraordinary in your life. To 2017 and beyond! Cheers. :)

High School Vampiress

WEARING: ROSEGAL BLACK LACE UP JUMPER | SPARK PRETTY RED VELVET SLIP DRESS |
ANGELINA SHOETIQUE OTK BOOTS | ROSEGAL SILVER BEAD HOOPS | ROSEGAL SILVER RINGS

A couple of weeks ago I attended a pop-up event that only carried collector items from the fashionable 90s time period. Spark Pretty is a store filled with vintage items from this decade and I was lucky to find a one-of-a-kind red velvet sleeveless dress. I love it's variation in length, short in the front and long in the back. But now that's it's getting colder in New York, I couldn't just wear this gorgeous piece alone! By the way, how adorable is this dress for Holiday events + parties?!

Heavily into layering this AW season, I paired the dress with a chunky, black lace-up jumper from Rosegal. They have great, affordable trending pieces in fashion and accessories. I love Rosegal so much I even accessorized with jewelry from them as well! Their stacked rings are super chic and the single bead hoop earrings bring sexiness to any outfit. The final detail are these killer over-the-knee platform boots from Angelina Shoetique. These boots have a life of their own and definitely was the inspiration behind the title of this blog post! Makeup mostly by Urban Decay and Dollup Beauty.

What do you guys think of this emo/grunge/darker look? I certainly don't dress like a high school vampiress every day, but it was so much fun styling these pieces with a different concept we haven't done yet! Always willing and able to try new things and taking risks in fashion is only part of the fun when it comes to styling. Enjoy the weekend! We'll be back on Monday with a new fall style story with Thermos & JORD Watches (giveaway included) so stay tuned! :)
