7 Favorite Laura Mercier Beauty Products

THIS POST IS SPONSORED BY LAURA MERCIER BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

When it comes to beauty looks, my favorite makeup is the ‘no makeup’ makeup kind of look. It is that flawless and effortless one, with no drama to be anywhere nearby. One brand that has definitely been a pioneer of that certain ‘face’ and inspires women to embrace their individual beauty is Laura Mercier. Laura Mercier has created some of the beauty industry’s most iconic products, such as the Allure “Best of Beauty” Translucent Loose Setting Powder, the first Foundation Primer, her beloved Caviar Stick Eye Colour, and so much more. In today’s beauty post, I’m sharing 7 of my favorite products from Laura Mercier. Continue reading to learn more along with direct links to shop for each product!

FACE ILLUMINATOR POWDER IN ‘INDISCRETION’

Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder highlights the skin with pure light-reflecting pigments for a color-true, multidimensional, and luminous finish that complements all skin tones. Its non-dusting texture allows for excellent color payoff and applies smoothly and evenly onto the skin without dragging. Designed to complement all skin tones, the unique formula brings natural-looking radiance to the complexion for an instant glow that lasts up to eight hours. I’ve tried many highlighters and this one is still the best in the market. My favorite shade is ‘Indiscretion’ which is a great goldish pearly tone for medium skin tones.

MATTE BRONZING POWDER IN ‘SOLEIL 1’

Matte bronzing powder delivers a natural-looking warmth to the skin. Silky, micro-fine powder feels weightless on skin, goes on smoothly and blends seamlessly to provide the ultimate sun-kissed glow. I enjoy using this product as a subtle contour when I want that to be as seamless as possible. It’s a great bronzing powder in general, and I really love how it looks on the skin.

TRANSLUCENT LOOSE SETTING POWDER

Cult-favorite and winner of multiple major awards, Laura Mercier's "best in beauty," #1 setting powder* is your go-to powder. I love the super smooth application, which goes on evenly, blends effortlessly and provides great wear. Sets makeup for 12 hours without adding weight or texture. Literally the best setting powder I have ever used to date.

MATTE RADIANCE BAKED POWDER IN ‘HIGHLIGHT 01’

The ultra-lightweight formula feels comfortable and weightless on the skin, applies smoothly and blends effortlessly. Features a smooth, silky, velvety texture and long-wearing formula that lasts up to eight hours and stays color-true without oxidizing for an even wear. Use for refined highlighting or soft strobing. This multidimensional highlight shade works on all skin tones. A very elegant looking highlighter.

VELOUR EXTREME MATTE LIPSTICK IN ‘VIBE’

Modern matte lipstick so seductive in color, touch, and texture, the sensation is irresistible. Mattifying powders and silky conditioners envelop your lips in the softness and comfort of velour, sans drying and cracking. The collection of 24 vivid, full-coverage shades provide intense color with a dramatic, matte finish. The slim precision bullet allows the formula to grab and glide over lips, defining and filling in one seamless stroke, while the built-in shaper customizes the tip for precision lining and detailed filling. It is ideal for creating edgy effects and everyday extremes, with no liner needed. One of my favorite shades is a medium pink-beige called, ‘Vibe’. Perfect nude color for everyday wear.

CAVIAR STICK EYE COLOR IN ‘GILDED GOLD’

This extremely versatile cream eyeshadow stick delivers effortless application, intense, buildable color and up to 12-hour wear. Pigment-rich shades in creamy shimmer and matte finish glides seamlessly onto the lids, staying crease and transfer-resistant. The luxe formulation gives you plenty of time to smudge, blend, line, fill or define, so you can effortlessly create any look. Don’t be afraid to be playful! Caviar Stick Eye Color layers easily over or under other eyeshadows, including powder. A favorite shade I like to use all the time is called ‘Mystic Gold’.

FOUNDATION PRIMER HYDRATING

Moisture-rich face primer nourishes, soothes and conditions skin as it creates a smooth surface for flawless makeup application. The formula provides a soft-focus effect to help minimize the look of pores, fine lines and imperfections. Laura created this expert hydrating primer specifically for dry, dehydrated skin. Lightweight, creamy formula creates a protective moisture buffer, with an enhanced antioxidant vitamin "cocktail" that helps protect skin against harmful, aging effects of the environment.

4 Staple Cashmere Pieces for Fall and Winter

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FILORO CASHMERE BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

Shoot Location: 219 E 44th St PH listed by Douglas Elliman / Photos: Madison Pittman

One item you can definitely count in my closet during the fall and winter season is cashmere. It’s luxe, soft and oh so cozy. Not to mention the warmth it brings to any chilly day! And without that bulky feeling when wearing heavier sweaters. It’ll make you feel rich even if you’re not (HI) and if taken care of properly, can last a good while. I mean… really, what’s not to love about cashmere? In today’s post, I’m sharing four staple cashmere pieces that are super stylish that are affordable while also still maintaining high-end quality cashmere.

WEARING: BLACK CASHMERE SWEATER | LEOPARD ANKLE BOOTS | WIDE LEG JEANS

I think most women have had more than one time or another a black cashmere sweater. It is most certainly a staple piece. Can be worn with pretty much anything and it is classic chic to a T. Perfect with jeans and fabulous boots or a print midi skirt. Slacks, over a dress… you name it, it’s a guarantee yes in the fashionable department.

WEARING: CAMEL CASHMERE TURTLENECK SWEATER | WHITE PANTS

Another classic fall and winter piece is a camel-colored top. How about a cashmere camel-colored turtleneck sweater? I love camel with white, but this color also complements well with black, olive, purple, red and more. I’m also a huge fan of turtlenecks so this sweater is another must in my wardrobe. This sweater would look great with a leopard or snake print skirt/shoes or even with jeans… a monochrome look also.

WEARING: PINK CASHMERE SWEATER | PINK RUFFLE SKIRT | PINK WESTERN ANKLE BOOTS

To add a little color in your fall clothes, why not a fun cashmere sweater like this one?! I’m really into hot pink lately, and this one is also a favorite. I love the details of this pink sweater such as the lattice texture and the balloon sleeves. These make the top alive and just fun. I styled this look with more pink accents such as the blush pink ruffle skirt and western snake print ankle boots.

WEARING: CARDIGAN CASHMERE SWEATER | BLACK SUEDE BOOTS

I love a good cardigan top, but cashmere?! Oh yes, indeed. This one to me is like a hybrid of Mad Men and Martha Stewart vibes, but chic AF. Want to be a good wife? Wear this and some sexy boots with a martini in your hand when he arrives home from work. LOL. All kidding aside, I love the lace appliques and length of the cardigan. All very elegant. This cardigan cashmere sweater would also look great with black trousers if you want a more polished look.

Hot Pink Monochromatic Outfit

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY PUBLIC DESIRE BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

What day of the week do you wear pink? A lot may say Wednesdays but why not on a Monday? I love the idea of kicking the start to the week with a splash of color. And a color I rarely wear - pink. Why? Not sure, to be honest, but most likely because I associate the color with feminine style. In today’s post, I’m sharing a monochromatic look that’s a surprising color to wear during the fall season, but can be an excellent way to re-wear some summer pieces from your wardrobe. If you’re a fan of layering and hot pink, definitely continue reading to see where to get similar pieces to recreate this fun autumnal vibrant colored look.

I’ve styled this top several years ago (link here) but have linked many other similar tops such as this one since it’s no longer available. But I’d say it’s a velour long-sleeved crop top, so a jersey sweater or even a knitted one would also work for a look like this. The slip dress is also no longer available to which I’ve linked a few similar ones. Boots are from Public Desire and are only $60 where they definitely look like they’re worth more. I love that they’re western snakeskin ankle boots but in a fashionable bright pink. A definite eye-catcher even by itself with jeans and a white tee.

Other accessories with this outfit are my favorite pink bag from Thesis Crisis and hair accessories from Hvisk and Neophyte Jewels. Since there were purple accents in the boots, I picked one of the barrettes made of acetate in dark pink and then a slimmer pearled one with red and pink tones to mix up the shade range. I think the block of the heel and other tones work well with someone who has darker hair like myself. What do you guys think about monochromatic looks? I did a red one (link here) last March that many of you loved. Let me know in the comment section down below! Happy Monday!

Neon Skirt Outfit

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY H&M, PUBLIC DESIRE, GIGI NEW YORK BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

One of the biggest trends to hit fashion in recent years is neon. But there are many ways to wear this vibrant color and in many different shades. A color I love during fall is yellow but how about wearing a shade of that in neon? I’d normally pair neon yellow with other bold colors like pink, orange, maybe a purple but what about a more muted tone such as grey or sepia? Can this give a fall/winter look? Continue reading to see how you can incorporate neon easily into your autumn wardrobe and where to directly find each piece from this look.

This calf-length skirt in soft, stretch velour has not only a wonderful color but the draping is also exceptional. I love velour as a material but it can oftentimes look inexpensive and somewhat tacky. This one definitely does quality justice. I paired the skirt with a chunky grey knit sweater that’s perfect for the fall and winter season. I wanted to see if this color palette could work: grey and neon. I think with the right accessories and colors together it can.

This green saddle bag works well with both the neon and grey. And I think with the sepia tones from the snakeskin boots, the color balance overall does work. Definitely not the norm, but I always like the experiment and see what can possibly work you wouldn’t see otherwise had you not tried to begin with. What do you guys think of this color scheme and look for the season?
