Happy Hump Day! MaQ and I haven't posted our graffiti & street art finds in a bit, and we wanted to keep you updated on what's new here in New York City! Starting off with a vivacious art mural by King Saladeen - his works speak from the heart and are loud, in-your-face. Manhattan style. I really dig this piece because it speaks to me in volumes. No Handouts in life. Check. Dream Big in NYC. Check. Work Hard 2 Play Hard. Check. Love what you do. Check. I love what is epitomized in his work, that the only way to express it is through art. And since it's #WuWednesday (Yup, this is a thing. I know, right?!) I of course, couldn't wait to show you guys Jerkface's new amazing mural at Lasso! Those are some dope Wu Tang Care Bears! Wouldn't it be cool if they were made into mini-stuffed Care Bears like we were little and the Wu Tang emblem was on it?! I would totally go out of my way to get one. A collector's item! Ha ha!!
What is love? Love is... a big busy tail constantly in the way, but you wouldn't have it any other way! I love sidewalk graffiti too, especially when everyone can participate or interact with the artist! They're popping up everywhere! What is love to you? #loveisix
Let's get this mid-week party started! This mural below was created by Kevin Lyons, a supremely talented artists in many respects. He also does designs on skateboards, shoes and other apparel. Really great stuff for boys. Very stylish and all-around fun.
Last, we have the Love Sculpture at 55th and 6th by the iconic Pop art American artist, Robert Indiana.
