The latest skincare products I've been using literally has gold in its products. Not just one product, but in all of 'em. It's killer good. I've never had such smooth, supple skin before! Hope everyone is enjoying the seasonal celebrations so far! Today's post is all about my most recent bath essentials. One of the main pluses of our apartment in the city is having an actual bathtub! I never realized how much I missed taking baths after living in our older apartment for seven years. Our older apartment's bathroom was tiny, fitting only a standup shower, a toilet and a sink. Not much space for anything else. But now, for the past couple of years, I really enjoy taking baths. It calms the body and mind, in my opinion, and who doesn't enjoy a little R & R?

As much as I love a good bubble bath, sometimes I just like to soak in the tub without the bubbles. And these luxury soaps from SAVONBOX are terrific! Fine glycerin bars for day and night, the Blue Opal and Black Raspberry Vanilla soap bars are fresh and fragrant, perfect for everyday use. My skin tends to get dry during the winter but these bad boys are hygroscopic, which means it attracts moisture, making it one of the most moisturizing varieties of soap. And my skin is so smooth!

The Blue Opal bar is a fragrance of joy, the essence of a sunny, happy morning. Fresh apple, plums and bergamot as top notes proceed into the floral heart composed of freesia, lily, rose and morning orchid with Amber. Trust me when I tell you this, it is heavenly! Such a great smell to get your day going.

The Black Raspberry Vanilla bar has a burst of black raspberry with the soothing warmth of vanilla undertones. Raspberry is a known aphrodisiac, and vanilla inspires love. <3 I use this one at night. Just the scent itself is extremely calming.

And what better scented candle for the Holiday season? The Thymes Frasier Fir Pine Needle Candle is crisp with it's just-cut forest fragrance, making it smell like there's a Christmas tree in your bathroom!  :)

I know I will definitely be getting more for the Winter time. The smell is so contagious, I want one for every room!

Diana Broussard Interview

Last month I had the honor of interviewing Diana Broussard for Prestige International Magazine! Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, but with Cajun-French (both from Louisianan and Parisian) roots, Diana grew up in Dallas, Texas. The youngest in her family of four children, Diana Broussard had initially planned to attend Julliard to become a flute soloist, however, her dreams drastically changed when her father had a bad stroke when she was 16. Growing up she always sewn her own clothes and read Vogue, and also always been surrounded by the technology world being her father was a physicist, had immediately committed to her new ambition in becoming a designer.

Holding a B.S. in textile chemistry from LSU with further education at FIT, Diana has become one of the most successful New York designers specializing in accessories. She's worked for luxury goods companies such as Gucci, Dior, Calvin Klein, Armani, Carolina Herrera, and JP Tods - her experience is impressive. From one idea she does many things, with her exquisite jewelry to her impeccably chic shoe line, each concept is clear and her work speaks for itself. Luxury at its finest, it is also yet personal, taken with great care, and is full of heart.

I went to her boutique here in New York City, to get to know her and of course, to see her collection. I picked out a few of my favorites (ahem, gentlemen... your lady friend would love any of Diana's pieces!), keeping the theme green with Christmas Spirit!

DWR Wish List

Christmas is right around the corner! Since I'm a writer, I work a lot from home and my workspace is just as important as is the writing. And because my designated area is in need of some renovating, I've come up with a wish list of some Design Within Reach (one of my favorite New York City furniture stores) workspace products I would just LOVE to have.

1. Eames® Hang-It-All® Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, produced by Herman Miller®, the Hang-It-All is the perfect wall accessory to hang up all those winter accessories - hats, scarves, mittens, etc.; let's not forgot the purses and tote bags! I'm in love with it's chic yet playful design. A definite must-have on my wish list!

2. Renew™ Executive Sit-to-Stand Desk Created by designer and sculptor, Brian Alexander, this table lets you go from sitting to standing and back again so you can keep moving throughout the workday – vital to improving energy and focus and to lowering health risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Its motorized lift operates easily with an intuitive lever: pull up to raise, push down to lower. Beyond adjustability, Renew also sports ample legroom and beveled edges for eliminating bumps and bruises, cord management for a streamlined profile and concealed screw heads for a sleek finish.

3. Spinneybeck® Cowhide Rug These natural haired cowhide rugs were founded by Charlie Manchee in 1962. Made in Italy, each one is unique, with its own distinct size, shape and tones. The rugs come in three colors, but my favorite is the tricolor one. And who doesn't ADORE a gorgeous cowhide rug?! You've got to have one of these to keep your feet toasty all winter long! I bet MaQ would find it extra snuggly... :)

4. Modo Table Lamp I love Jason Miller's simple and innovating lighting. The Modo Collection features hand-blown glass globes with slight variances in shape and color, which make each piece unique. They have a beautiful industrial feel and would complement any workspace.

5. Freedom® Task Chair with Headrest in Vicenza Leather Doesn't this task chair look divine? With a height-adjustable headrest, the headrest version offers customized support for the head, allowing for proper eye-level positioning when working long hours at a computer station - something I could really use with all those crazy hours of editing and writing! Niels Diffrient's chair also has an adjustable seat and back, as well as a natural life-and-release action, making the armrests easily repositioned for ultimate comfort and support.

6. Sapien Bookcase Bruno Rainaldi's Sapien Bookcase is perfect for someone (ahem, me) who has a lot of books but little space to store them. By holding texts horizontally in a vertical stack, the tall Sapien can accommodate up to 70 small and large books in a very compact footprint. (The shorter bookcase will hold up to 50 books.) I already own two, but with one more I can align them all together, enhancing it's rib-like visual concept. They're my favorite bookcases and look great in any room, not just your workspace!

7. MW Magazine Rack Designers Laurent Serin and Javier Gutierrez Carcache's minimalist and low-tech approach keeps objects simplified. And I couldn't agree more. Who wants all that clutter? I got to put my Vanity Fair's somewhere! I also truly love how it takes its name from the way the letters “M” and “W” are represented in its shape, depending on the viewing angle. Clean, lightweight and durable, it’s a sculptural solution for storage.
