One of my favorite types of dresses for every season, and especially during the warmest season of the year, are maxi dresses. They look flattering on all body types and there’s so many different patterns, prints, and materials to use for this type of dress. Ombré - the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. This multi colored ombre maxi dress featuring accordion pleats, gold halter neck strap, and elasticized open back screams summer. This pink and blue ombré maxi dress is available in a variety of colors, such as an orange/red and purple, yellow and pink/orange, and lavender and blue/purple. I don’t recommend this brand to petite women, unless you’re okay with many alterations at your tailor, it’s all good, but if not, try a different brand amongst the many I wear and share on my blog.

The blue mules are from EGO Shoes and matched quite perfectly with the blue part of the dress. The heels are over four inches and are a bit hard to walk in (not something I’d wear all day long) but for the office or even a nighttime outing would be completely doable. I love to wear blue all-year round, even during the summer. I think the color evokes many different emotions, but there might be certain occasions one would not feel so comfortable wearing a certain shade of blue. Take for instance: somewhere in the tropics. Not the first go-to color, right? But if for example I were to be at a very tropical destination wedding, this is the kind of look I would completely go for. The Tiered Halter Maxi Dress from Who What Wear™ is a floaty printed chiffon with ruffled edging, with a shoulder-baring neckline and dramatic A-line skirt that hits at the ankle. Wear it with a pair of flats for a modern boho look, or pair it with a heeled sandal for an elegant summer wedding statement. I went with a pair of Cult Gaia dupes, these white genuine leather hollow out pointed toe slippers are my new favorite shoes for summer. The heel detail is quite stunning and even though these pair are on sale for only $72 here, they look like they’re worth much more. Are you a fan of duping and if so, what’s your favorite way to do this?

To tie together the rest of this summery feminine look I accessorized with a straw clutch with black pom pom, wooden bangles and earrings with a similar woven straw-like material. I think these materials work well with the mules as well as with the dress. It’s a look I could wear any day, to a wedding, or on vacation at an island resort. I wanted to style these bold rainbow slides in a simple, chic manner. Nothing too over the top, as it can easily turn from stylish to Bozo the clown. This beautiful sheer white maxi dress with 3D cotton embellished definitely complements with the pom-pom material from the sandals. With a self-tied string around the waist, it is a very flattering dress for many body types. Originally $100 it’s on sale with 40% off right now! I love the elegance of the dress - definitely has some character don’t you think? They also have a cream-colored dress as well here.

I think if you stuck to one solid color, such as yellow or red would also look great with these beautiful rainbow pom-pom sandals. Definitely beach appropriate so long as you don’t take a dip in the water with them. Definitely would look cute with jeans and a cami of some kind, or a beach wrap. There’s many ways to style these sandals for the warmer season. I found them for $235 on Far Fetch. Again, they’re luxury footwear so the price is right. I definitely wouldn’t recommend walking for miles in them around the city, for example. This is not the type of shoes for that.

To keep with the happy colors, I went with a yellow o-ring bag from Iridescence New York and a pair of purple leather covered hoop earrings from Shop Small Things. I think the two variated colors keep with the rest of the color scheme without having the palette become too noisy/busy. I always loved yellow and purple together as I’m a die hard Lakers fan, lol. Just a random tidbit for you guys :) I’ve also linked a couple other similar bags with different price points and locations.

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Can’t say mine was too sweet… had a terrible allergic reaction in one of my eyes where I’ve looked like Quasimodo for the past few days. It looks awful, I won’t even do stories. It’s been fun telling everyone my hubby clocked me. Ha ha! I styled it with a long green cardigan and layer with a white shirt because it was still chilly when we shot this last week.

Pair with denim cutoffs and a cropped cami for beachy vibes or slip on with a floaty mini dress to toughen up your look. I thought it went really well with what I had on, keeping a nice juxtaposition of hard and soft feel here. And these white platform sandals are a dream to walk in - like clouds on your feet! I think they’ll look cute in socks for chillier days too, so I’m sure you’ll see these sandals make a reappearance at some point.

It’s that time of year where every woman should have certain staple pieces in their closet. For me, I think a lovely floral print dress suitable for many occasions but also not too pricey, is definitely up there on my spring wardrobe list. And I’ve found one that’s less than $70 and looks way more of high-quality than what the price tag says! You can wear it with sneakers, sandals, and for every day or to a wedding, it’s really a wonderful piece to have. Continue reading to find out where from and how you can get your hands on it, today!

The flower obsession continues with this dreamy fit-and-flare dress designed with a sultry yet demure V-neckline, lace trim and a soft floral print. The button down closure with bubble sleeves brings on an extra sense of elegance, making this dress quite appropriate to Sunday church, Easter, weddings, and more! It’s great alone, but also pairs well with a denim jacket or nicely colored pea coat or trench. I wore it alone so you guys can really see this gem of a dress and its details.

Aside from the beautiful, bright colors, excellent finishes, and buttons, there is also a sash that comes with the dress. You can tie it around the waist or even in your hair, making it a little more boho with the feminine piece. I styled the dress keeping it very simple with just a pair of earrings. But you can accessorize it with more dainty jewelry, like layered necklaces or multiple earrings/cuffs. How would you style this gorgeous floral maxi dress?

I would have loved to have styled this out in the country, in some open field, like a princess out roaming the prairie, but I chose to shoot it in the city with only two things: a white sheet and basket to give it a more peasant kind of vibe. Like a girl just airing out the fresh laundry, if you will. I’m always trying to come up with more creative shots, as of late and I hope you too are enjoying the process!
