10 Step Skincare Routine in a Jar

Fashion week always takes such a toll on my skin, and especially during the colder months of the year, where the air is so dry, and then you add in traveling, where a flight will completely suck the moisture out of your skin. So I've been looking for something that can do it all. Even in travel size. I've been using Cold Plasma Plus by Perricone M.D. now for the past few weeks and the results are incredible! It is great for anyone with normal to dry skin, and the perfect transformation from dullness to radiance. My skin always looks so plump and glowy after using it, I am definitely using this bad boy on the plane to keep my skin hydrated. Since it's a serum, I apply it after removing makeup and washing my face. I sometimes add in moisturizer after a serum for a more powerful hydration effect but you won't need to with Cold Plasma Plus. Even though it is extremely hydrating, Cold Plasma Plus doesn't clog your pores and won't aggravate acne-prone skin, which I tend to get from time to time due to hormonal changes and/or stress. 

I've also been using the Mount Lai jade facial roller after applying the serum. The jade roller is a Chinese skincare tool that has been used for thousands of years. Perfected throughout the centuries, this facial massager was built to have a cooling, soothing effect on the skin. Besides improving overall health and radiance of the skin, jade rolling has a multitude of benefits such as improving blood circulation, reducing puffiness and inflammation of the skin, and relieving facial and jaw tension. I have to say it might seem silly using something like this when it comes to skincare, but it's really great for de-puffing. Phew! To be quite honest, I've been so busy I didn't think this beauty post would go up today but I burned the midnight oil because I was too excited to share my January beauty favorites with you guys! There's a ton of skincare going on here today because let's 'face' it (ha ha ha sometimes I think I'm 'p'unny) the harsh winter months wreak havoc on to our skin. I've got all sorts of goodies to keep your skin hydrated and glowing, on top of a really cool eyeshadow palette that's a bit of a Troublemaker, an amazing new nail polish where I also found my perfect nude shade color, and a body oil that's the best I've ever had. 1. KAT BURKI VITAMIN C NOURISHING CLEANSING BALM

Repairs, renews and illuminates skin using a reparative combination of 15% STAY C (Vitamin C), Camu Camu berry, Gotu Kola and seven reparative Cold Processed Oils: Coconut, Sunflower, Jojoba, Rose Hip Seed, Olive, Avocado and Cranberry Seed. Helps repair the signs of aging, increases skin plumpness, prevents dryness, brightens skin, retains moisture, cleanses skin and removes stubborn makeup/mascara. Some of you may have seen a mini-episode of me using this cleansing balm on Insta-Stories and it took makeup off when I thought I had a thoroughly clean face! Rarely addressed, our skin is best (and looks best) when its ph (potential hydrogen) level is mid-level to acidic – alkaline ratio, 0 (most acidic) to 14 (most alkaline). The skin’s barrier (acid mantle) is responsible for keeping lipids and moisture locked in as well as protecting against pollutants, toxins, and bacteria. Antioxidant dense turmeric strengthens while vitamin C from orange hydrosols, pumpkin seed oil, and papaya support collagen to maintain skin structure and firmness. I use it as a toner after cleansing my face am & pm. I'm not a huge fan of the smell, but after having used it consistently, you get accustomed to it after a while. I find it to be one of the best balancers when it came to skin tone, overall hydration, and bounce. I wish they made one in travel-size!

Extreme longwear, highly pigmented yet comfortable, this rosehip oil infused liquid lipstick quickly sets to a matte veil. In a few strokes your lips are enveloped in full on color that will last all day!PREP - Gently exfoliate lips with a lip scrub to smooth and condition.APPLY - Outline lips with the point of the applicator. Apply a thin layer to clean bare lips, allowing color to set. There's five really beautiful shades of pink that I received from Pixi Beauty, but my favorite lip color and I think the one that suits me best out of them all is the 'Really Rose' shade. But I really, really, love these lipsticks. A LOT.

I always have a hard time finding the right shade with my skin tone but 'Teacher's Pet' is the perfect peach nude! I tried it once and have been using it since I have been getting a ton of compliments on the shade. I love that it lasts longer than normal nail polish and you don't need the typical LED/UV light to dry gel nails. I literally do two coats for full opacity and a top coat and I'm good for about ten days.

10. HERBAL DYNAMICS BEAUTY ROSE WATER CALMING FACE TONER

Soothe and calm skin with rose, green tea, chamomile, and witch hazel. Aloe and hyaluronic acid deliver instant hydration for a fresh, youthful appearance. That means everywhere. It should only ever irritate you when it runs out. Let the gentle ingredients like Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil work their magic on your skin. All I have to say about this body oil is that it's my all-time favorite. That is all. :)

When it comes to makeup, I always start with the base, or rather, my face. I first begin with the Neutrogena® HydroBoost hydrating tint foundation in 85 Honey. It definitely leaves your skin feeling hydrated all day while minimizing the look of imperfections. Containing hyaluronic acid, this concealer works to leave skin feeling quenched. It applies flawlessly and is available in five blendable shades designed to match multiple skin tones. This lightweight concealer is non-greasy, oil-free, and non-comedogenic.

One thing I'm always paying more attention to during the colder season is my lips. I tend to have extremely dry and sensitive lips and they tend to get quite chapped so I do lip scrubs and lip masks to keep them healthy and nourished. However, with the Neutrogena®  HydroBoost lip treatment, my lips have never felt smoother! I always carry with me some sort of lip balm, and you can bet this is my new go-to lip treatment!
