Fall Makeup Look with Bobbi Brown

My favorite season is here! Crisp air, leave foliage and everything pumpkin, your girl is a little too excited for it all! Fall makeup is supposed to be subtle but with a touch of the dramatic. Some classic favorites? Black eyeliner, rich red lips, and overall warm tones. I've been wanting to create a look that's not too difficult to do but at the same time, also super gorgeous and still quite natural. Think of a very underplayed smokey eye with a cherry autumn lip and some gold highlight glowy-ness. Which is why I'm thrilled to partner with Bobbi Brown to share this fall makeup look with you guys! When I met Analise Traficante, the Bobbi Brown BDA & Brand Ambassador at Bloomingdale's in SoHo, during NYFW, I knew we had to work together! She and I instantly connected and along with her talent, her personality is what really drew me to her. Filming didn't even feel like work, but more like two girls just hanging out in our bedrooms (like teenagers) playing around with makeup. When I gave her my vision of the look I had in mind, she instantly got me. Say no more, she went with a very subtle smokey eye with hints of dark brown and purples along with a gorgeous rusty red lip and highlight to boot.

We used one of my favorite illuminating powders of all time: The Nude Finish Illuminating Powder from SS16. The warm, gold tones are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall makeup, plus I think warmer highlights for olive skin is more flattering than cooler tones in terms of overall skin complexion as well as hair (but we can talk about hair in a whole other post.) The color we chose for lipstick shade is called, "Burnt Cherry" in Bobbi Brown's newly launched Luxe Matte Lip Color Beauty. These luxurious matte lipsticks feature oil-infused powders and pure matte powder pigments that deliver full coverage, a comfortable, lightweight feel and 12-hour high-impact color.

Skin prep also included products from the Bobbi Brown line, such as their hydrating eye cream which has CHANGED my life. Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far, I've got a new post today featuring two new designers I styled a look together and the theme? Full on 90's vibes with a hint of grunge and disco! When it comes to styling, I love mixing trends from different eras which is so much fun! I believe in fashion one should never stay inside a particular box but rather take chances and explore their creative sides. After all, fashion is a constant form of expression and should never be a form of fear, doubt and/or other insecurities. If you dress well, you will feel well. And they make a lasting first impression when it comes to networking and business opportunities. In a city like the Big Apple, you never know who you're going to meet let alone run into! So in today's editorial shoot, I wanted to share a look that can go from a business dinner to a night out dancing with the girls. Check out the complete look that's sensual, playful and edgy at the same time!

I recently discovered deuxA; reflects the designer's name by throwing emphasis on the first and last letter in 'AnnalizA'; metaphorically indicating there is always a beginning to every end. Unique and individual prints lay the cornerstones of AnnalizA's designs. Detailed attention towards diversity in textures and materials, such as this black ruffled-back blouse with pearl details on the sleeves and front. I'm completely obsessed with the back, it reminds me of a flamenco dancer yet with the detail from the pearls it transforms the blouse to something more contemporary. I'd totally wear this with some ripped skinny jeans and heels too for a more casual look but you can pretty much pair this blouse with some many other pieces, even a maxi skirt, overalls, leather pants and more!

The metallic skirt with a lilac tint is from MKT Studio. This Parisian brand aims for ultra-feminine looks with a casual, authentic and grungy feel. They want to avoid superfluous details. MKT Studio offers modern women the chance to create a wardrobe with gorgeous clothing at an affordable price. I'm a huge fan of anything metallic, but the subtle purple-based color of the skirt blows my mind. It's eye-catching and unique and can sparkle up any outfit. It'd even be cute with a crisp white blouse or a different contrasted metallic material and/or color.

Silver hoop earrings are from Rosegal and my favorite ankle boots are from Steve Madden. (I also styled a completely different look with the same boots in my last post here.) The headphones and CD/cassette/radio player are vintage (almost ha ha ha!) and Sony. I styled this look in a more rundown location to keep up with the grungy vibes, what do you guys think of this editorial shoot? Would you like to see more style posts like these? Happy Friday! Today's post is focusing on a new outfit look, (think Chanel meets affordability 🙊) but with attention also on my deep love for Classical music. Lately, I've been feeling inspired to do a black and white film 'look', but I wanted to evoke feelings of playfulness, intensity and the art of simplicity, which to me, is the key to sophistication, and remaining effortlessly chic.

I've been listening to Classical music since I was a young teenager. The reason being was because of my training as a competitive figure skater, where a lot of time was spent on researching and choosing the perfect piece of music to go with the perfect skating dress and choreography. I was immediately drawn to Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven. But my interest really peaked while in college, where I spent many of those first lonely freshman nights studying while listening to 'my men'. That is, until I actually made some friends! The only person I knew was my cousin and she was on the other side of campus. (And Michigan State's campus is one of the hugest in the country.) Freshmen stuck out like sore thumbs with their stationary parked bikes in the middle of the sidewalk with their faces immersed in the map of the campus. Trust me, I was definitely one of them, ha ha!

When I wrote my first novel, most, well to it's near entirety, music was filled in the background with Classical music. If not that, lots of original soundtracks. Dark. Soundtracks. Why do I love Classical music? It transports me to places I've never been. Eras, even. It sometimes uplifts me, fills me with intense anticipation of the unknown, melancholy, nostalgia, and even sometimes great sadness. But each time, regardless of the mood or set tone, I am never left without feeling fulfilled in some way. It gives me life! How many times has music saved your life?

I styled my hair in three knotted ponytails, bringing them together in a sort of french-braid kind of way. My makeup is inspired by the new Chanel campaign with Kristen Stewart shot by Mario Testino. What I love is the variation to the smokey eye, with different vibes like a tomboy, being mischievous or playful, to even feeling like a glamorous star. Eyes are, after all, the window's to our soul. We are whoever we want to be. #EyeCanBe

My off-the-shoulder peasant top has subtle floral embroidery in the bell sleeves, and my high-slit black maxi skirt, are both from Forever 21. I've had these Michael Kors's gladiator sandals for a few years and love them during the summer season. Just because you're on a budget when it comes to fashion doesn't mean you can't look like like one of the runway girls! Make it your own, in reflection to your personal style and taste.
