How to Wear Leopard Green

WEARING: AKIRA LEOPARD PRINT BLAZER | DL 1961 DENIM HEPBURN JEANS | CHANEL BAG | BCBG HEELS | BING BANG NYC EARRING | MAKEUP: ALL BY URBAN DECAY

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY AKIRA, VIVRELLE, & URBAN DECAY COSMETICS BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

It’s Friday and I’m on the prowl! One can definitely say when it comes to my style, I’m far from minimalist. As my friend put it last night in a witty description, I’m a ‘maximalist’. And I think this look states just that. It’s loud, rocker chic, with a subtle side of glamour. Definitely some sultriness going on in today’s post as well, follow along to get a closer look at the entire outfit, along with makeup and accessory details, hair, bag, shoes… oh my! A dangerously playful fall vibe. Check it!

What’s super hot in trending fashion right now? Animal print! But more so, leopard. Anything from head to toe, I can get on board with. I literally am in search of a leopard newsboy cap because HOW freaking cute would that be?! When I first noticed this blazer, I was immediately drawn to the print and color. The AKIRA label On The Prowl Leopard Corduroy Blazer is a chic and sexy, tight fitting blazer, ready to bring the heat to your future fall outfits. A textured corduroy material makes up the base of the jacket while a bold and fashion forward lime green leopard print pattern encompasses the entirety of the blazer. Pair with the matching AKIRA Label On The Prowl Cropped Leopard Corduroy Pant and some pointed toe pumps to complete the look. However, I went a different styling route.

Don’t get me wrong. The matching set would be dope too, but I really found the blazer alone with a pair of wide leg jeans - these ones are from DL 1961 Denim and are my favorite jeans brand ever. It gives less busyness around the look, separating different materials always spices up a look, so I even played with different prints, like the leopard with python skin. This sage, pink and multicolor python Chanel mini flap bag with matte silver-tone hardware, single chain-link and leather shoulder strap, is literal perfection. I love how it brings a more evening style to this, quite the eye-catching outfit for date night! If you guys remember from my Monday post talking about Vivrelle click here to have access to hundreds of classic luxury accessories starting at $99/month! Members can experience an item for as long as they'd like, or swap it out monthly. If you love your accessory, you can buy it as well! Urban Decay Look

Overdrive Eyeliner

Naked Cherry Highlight & Blush Palette

Naked Cherry Vice Lipstick in Devilish

Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette

All-Nighter Foundation in 7.75

Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

I did all my makeup using only Urban Decay products, especially the new Naked Cherry eyeshadow palette which is the BOMB, along with the Naked Cherry highlight & blush palette. The lipstick I’m using is called “Devilish” and is a beautiful berry pink with tonal micro-shimmer. And the eyeliner I’m using is called “Overdrive” in a deep green metallic, which I found really fitting with the accented pinks of the eyeshadow, lips and bag, along with the lime green colored blazer. What do you guys think of this look? Should I do a makeup tutorial of it on YouTube? Let me know in the comments down below!

To polish up my look along with hiding my overgrown bangs (thank goodness for my hair appointment tomorrow morning!) I pulled my hair back using six bobby pins on each side. I have thick hair so it takes a ton of pins to get it to hold. I paired them in threes - with a gap between the held lines of the bobby pins. I think it really cleans up this look well, don’t you? Just a bit of glamour never hurt anyone. Heels are by BCBG and are no longer available but I did link a very similar pair here that’s about $67. Classy yet affordable. Earring is by Bing Bang NYC. To shop the look, you can always search at the beginning or end of each style blog post. I’m also linking the beauty products I’ve used for this look in the middle of the post, so look to find the links. Wishing you a lovely weekend!

The Chicest Dramatic Sequined Duster

WEARING: THE AKIRA LABEL SEQUINED DUSTER | MAVI JEANS | PLT HEELS | CHANEL BAG | CHANEL NECKLACE

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY AKIRA & VIVRELLE

It is still duster jacket season, well, it is in my fashion book. I normally see floral print, neutrals such as a lovely beige or subtle gray when it comes to these kinds of thin-material jackets but these are all more suitable for daytime wear. I’ve been looking for one as evening wear, and when I laid my eyes on this particular sequined jacket, I was quite excited to style it let alone wear it around town, to which has received many compliments already. The jacket, guys. Continue reading to learn about the different ways to style this marvel beauty, where you can get your hands on it, and lastly, a newly discovered brand where you can borrow high-end luxury accessories such as handbags and even jewelry! It’s all going down now on MaQ + Suz so check out the post!

The AKIRA Label Can’t Get Enough Dramatic Sequined Duster is made from a mesh fabrication with 3D feathered sequins, an open front, and a long flowing length. Throw this over a mini dress for a dramatic entrance, or wear it alone as a dress with a thick belt - I opted with jeans because your jean gal is not prissy. I went with a pair that had a little more detail such as these pearl studs to keep up with the extravagance of the duster jacket. I just love that no matter how you style this jacket, it’s a show stopper - definitely a statement piece. I definitely think it’s also wearable all year-round, and how fun would it be to layer this with other fabrics such as animal print, faux fur, or perhaps… more sequin?

How would you like to have access to hundreds of classic luxury accessories starting at $99/month? Members can experience an item for as long as they'd like, or swap it out monthly. If you love your accessory, you can buy it as well! This is Vivrelle. For as low as $99 per month, you can borrow this Chanel bag and Chanel necklace (& so many other amazing accessories), including some of my favorites in my personal Vivrelle closet! Use code "Suzanne Spiegoski" to get to the top of the wait list.

As for my hair style, I’ve been pulling my bangs back with bobby pins or hair clips like these cute 90s-inspired ones because I need a trim! Just haven’t had the time with my busy schedule, so yes, sometimes you just have to make it work. Either that or try to adapt. It’s kind of having me NOT miss my bangs because let’s face it, they’re a lot of work in terms of maintenance. What do you guys think… keep banging or grow them out?

What do you guys think of this look? I definitely think it’s great for an evening where you want to paint the town red, but at the same time, keeping your style semi-casual. I’ve never been the type to style a look only from one genre/trend but more so of mixing things up. Because fashion should be fun and interesting. And stepping outside the box always can lead to something new and different. How would you have styled this sequined duster jacket? Don’t forget to shop the pieces at the beginning and end of this post! Got a question? You can drop them down in the section below (at the end of this post). Happy Monday! Wishing you all a killer good week.

Aqua Seafoam Chanel and Yellow Florals

WEARING: SAKU NEW YORK YELLOW FLORAL PRINT DRESS | CHANEL BAG |
KOIO SNEAKERS | VINTAGE SUNNIES

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY REBAG AND SAKU NEW YORK

Us girls have heard of a few stores that offer a discount for a previously used luxury handbag. But not many matches up to top trends and top quality other than Rebag. Besides becoming a destination to find this season’s It bag for less than the retail price, Rebag has streamlined the process of buying and selling gently loved luxury handbags by simplifying the peer-to-peer sale process. Plus, for those in New York, the brand also recently opened a concept store so customers can experience the site in an IRL setting. (Aside from their app, which is awesome btw). Continue reading to see how I styled this beautiful aqua seafoam Chanel handbag with a vibrant yellow floral print dress, oozing retro 70s vibes with both European and Californian flair.

You know when you put on a dress and it just hugs you in all the right places; feeling so comfortable yet stylish at the same time? This long sleeved floral print dress with a deep yellow hue is it for me. I never ever want to take it off Seriously though, I love when you come across a designer that makes clothes that fit so well on you. Being a petite woman, it is hard sometimes to find pieces that fit right then and there without having to tailor them! But never in the case of Saku New York. This dress could be styled in so many ways, but I'm such a big time sneaker gal.

The yellow color inspired me to style the dress with aqua-colored accessories. Something just as rich in color but with a contrast that would complement well with each other. And colors that bring out the mood of summer. Well, to me at least. I find this outfit to be an inspiration between the Amalfi Coast of Italy and the West Coast of California. The aqua color reminds me of the sea, the shades of the ocean along with the yellow being the bright warm sun. I'd link these sunglasses in the post but they're one of a kind and I bought them on the streets of SoHo in one of the markets for $20. You know, one of those happy finds. How would you have styled this aqua seafoam Chanel bag?

If you have bags you don't use anymore, Rebag is a company that actually sells your bags for you. Perhaps you have a Michael Kors, Kate Spade or Coach bag you don't wear anymore, but you know it is in great condition. You can take some pictures of the item, submit it to Rebag, they'll give you a quote, let you ship the item to them for free and then pay you within 2-3 business days. As someone who normally sells things on Poshmark (that almost seem to never sell), it is amazing to know that there are companies that just pay you upfront for the item and sell it on your behalf. If you are interested in trying Rebag, use my discount code: SUZANNE for 5% off your purchase.

Simplicity with Chopin

WEARING: FOREVER 21 HIGH-SLIT MAXI SKIRT |

FOREVER 21 CREAM OFF-THE-SHOULDER PEASANT TOP |

MICHAEL KORS SANDALS

Happy Friday! Today's post is focusing on a new outfit look, (think Chanel meets affordability 🙊) but with attention also on my deep love for Classical music. Lately, I've been feeling inspired to do a black and white film 'look', but I wanted to evoke feelings of playfulness, intensity and the art of simplicity, which to me, is the key to sophistication, and remaining effortlessly chic.

I've been listening to Classical music since I was a young teenager. The reason being was because of my training as a competitive figure skater, where a lot of time was spent on researching and choosing the perfect piece of music to go with the perfect skating dress and choreography. I was immediately drawn to Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven. But my interest really peaked while in college, where I spent many of those first lonely freshman nights studying while listening to 'my men'. That is, until I actually made some friends! The only person I knew was my cousin and she was on the other side of campus. (And Michigan State's campus is one of the hugest in the country.) Freshmen stuck out like sore thumbs with their stationary parked bikes in the middle of the sidewalk with their faces immersed in the map of the campus. Trust me, I was definitely one of them, ha ha!

When I wrote my first novel, most, well to it's near entirety, music was filled in the background with Classical music. If not that, lots of original soundtracks. Dark. Soundtracks. Why do I love Classical music?  It transports me to places I've never been. Eras, even. It sometimes uplifts me, fills me with intense anticipation of the unknown, melancholy, nostalgia, and even sometimes great sadness. But each time, regardless of the mood or set tone, I am never left without feeling fulfilled in some way. It gives me life! How many times has music saved your life?

I styled my hair in three knotted ponytails, bringing them together in a sort of french-braid kind of way. My makeup is inspired by the new Chanel campaign with Kristen Stewart shot by Mario Testino. What I love is the variation to the smokey eye, with different vibes like a tomboy, being mischievous or playful, to even feeling like a glamorous star. Eyes are, after all, the window's to our soul. We are whoever we want to be. #EyeCanBe

My off-the-shoulder peasant top has subtle floral embroidery in the bell sleeves, and my high-slit black maxi skirt, are both from Forever 21. I've had these Michael Kors's gladiator sandals for a few years and love them during the summer season. Just because you're on a budget when it comes to fashion doesn't mean you can't look like like one of the runway girls! Make it your own, in reflection to your personal style and taste. There's no price to chicness! Take a look at my editorial video created for this look of the week. Be sure to SUBSCRIBE for new videos every week. Please scroll down to directly shop the look. Have a lovely weekend, everyone! :)
