NYC style blogger

Happy Monday! It's a rainy morning here in New York and after compiling and sorting through all the questions from this past week on Instagram, I've decided to do more regular posts answering your questions through my blog rather than social media. Reason being is for the sole purpose of having enough space to answer everything. You only get so many characters on your captions on IG! I was initially selecting and answering 10-theme questions every Sunday on my Instagram, but after some consideration, I think it'll be much more effective on here. So without further ado, let's jump into some questions! This week's theme is inspired by Vogue's 73 Questions, where I went through them myself and did one for you! Since there were a ton of similar questions within this questionnaire from you guys, I thought it was a perfect way to start the new week and also getting the chance to know me better! Periwinkle Floral Dress

WEARING: ZEFINKA BOHO FLORAL DRESS | EGO BOOTS | ALLES BAGS

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY ZEFINKA

Got a case of the Monday Blues? Fear no more! This dress will kick any start of the week's ass! It's really great for summer as the material is thin and super breathable for even those hot summer nights! As usual, I love to do mix-plays on styles, combining them together and making them work! So in today's post, I'm combining this very bohemian blue floral dress with some of my more edgier staple pieces in my accessories. Think biker chic mixed with the boho! Continue reading to see the complete shoot (let's just say we had fun shooting in the wind!) and to directly shop the items to kickstart this Monday! Woo Hoo!

My blogger babes will relate to this. Ever go out to shoot and you get to your location, everything is set up, you get to your first frame and suddenly the weather becomes uncooperative.  Gusts of wind, God forbid downpouring rain, hail, sleet, snow, or all of the above, there's nothing more frustrating than not having any control over Mother Nature. This happened while shooting this dress, but instead of whining about the strong winds I embraced it while laughing and dancing! So when creating content, there are no excuses, and you should be able to get something out of it if you're a true creator. Obviously, you don't want to shoot a bright-colored sunny outfit in crappy rainy weather, as the aesthetics may not complement well with each other, but then again, how do you know until you try? Like Tim Gunn says, "Make it work!" and just adapt. Any blogger using an excuse of a rainy day for not being able to shoot is just lazy and not as ambitious as they 'claim'. #SorryNotSorry

Of course, I adore floral prints and the color periwinkle. It's probably one of my most favorite colors, ever! And I just love this dress from Zefinka. At only $34, the price is right with the quality of the dress. It's tailored to fit you well along with very cute black tassels at the sleeve to keep with the boho feels of the floral print. I paired the dress with my black Ego boots and black fringe bucket bag from Alles Bags. I think the dress would work well with black open toe heels for the summer or even a pair of light blue espadrilles, but I went with something a little different to show you how much you can style with just one dress! You can even tuck it into jeans or a skirt and make the dress into a floral top! I know that would look very chic as well.

It's going to be hot as hell in the city today so if you're in town, be sure to stay cool and stay hydrated! So so important, especially when the humidity is legit unbearable. Ugh. Good thing I have a ton of editing to do indoors. If you need me, you can find me behind my computer for the next couple of days. I have a few exciting events later in the week that I can't wait to share with you guys so be sure to follow me on Instagram to follow along on my stories! Have a great week everyone, catch y'all back on here very soon

Summertime Crop Topping with Tweety Bird

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY SAKU NEW YORK AND EGO SHOES.

It's almost the weekend and I've been cranking out posts today like a mad woman! Sorry for the delay yet again... I normally keep my blog very consistent but getting busier and busier means more problems and more things to do! Therefore, a little bit of irregularity up in here so I thank you guys for the patience and continued support, it means more to me than you'll ever know! (Yes, I know we bloggers will all say this, but I truly do mean this from the bottom of my heart!!!) This week has been jam-packed with more than the usual meetings and events so I haven't been able to get to my editing until today. Alas, I finally am releasing this outfit shoot and it's all about the crop top with details that are so extra - but oh so good. Continue reading to see more of the accessories from this look like the turquoise deets and this gorgeous personalized rose-gold bracelet that's perfect for Mother's Day!

If you're a new reader, (welcome btw) I style a lot for my wonderful dear friend's, designer label, s a k u New York. s a k u is both feminine and casual, with great attention in creating never-seen-before styles. What makes this off-white crop top unique is the neon peach trim in the front and the ribbon in the back. You can either leave it untied and loosely hanging on its own or bow tie it to make it even more feminine. It's a great versatile piece to wear with several summer staples like maxi skirts, denim shorts, and more. I love the playful tone to it and would totally wear it to a fair/carnival or festival of some kind. There's a zipper in the back center and it is also made out of polyester.

I accessorized with my favorite pair of wide-leg denim jeans from DL1961. The Hepburn style is so flattering and comfortable. I've been wearing them on heavy rotation and am a total jean gal - I styled with turquoise pieces such as this Western belt and Tiffany blue satchel bag. Both are from Most Wanted USA, a handcrafted leather handbag and accessory line based in NYC for everyday wear and I absolutely adore this brand. I styled a different look with these accessories here but it is more of a winter look. I think the color balances well with the peach neon trim, what do you think?

The kinda shoe that bloggers will love, the Raina studded slider is the must-have slider of the season with multi-strap upper, stud detail, and PU finish, it's perfect for those days on the beach. Throw these on with frayed denim and a crop top and you're good to go. They're not exactly a sandal you'll want to run around in, per se in the city, but it's a great relaxing, kicking it back, kind of summer shoe. It's definitely reminiscent of Alexander Wang, but hey, one can only afford so much high-end shoes. They come in at roughly $34 and are faux leather.

Lastly, I wanted to share this Monica Vinader sleek friendship bracelet that features five flat disks that line up perfectly on a double plaited adjustable cord. Each Linear bead is slidable to create your desired look and can be engraved with numbers, letters or symbols on both sides, introducing a playful new way of making your jewelry unique. It's a lovely sentiment for Mother's Day, and you can personalize it is many different ways. I had mine engraved with my blog name a while back at an event but never got a chance to share it on the blog. Link to the bracelet is here

Happy Monday! I don't know about you fellow East Coasters, but I'm so over winter! How is it still snowing on April 2nd?! The last time I saw abnormal snowing was nearly 14 years ago when I was in Ukraine and it was snowing in the middle of April! We were baffled, but today's forecast is only leaving me exasperated. I just want warmer and sunnier weather, which won't be happening this week. But April showers bring May flowers! And before you know it, we'll be complaining about how hot it is outside. So without further ado, I'm bringing summer into spring to potentially jumpstart warmer temps! Continue reading to see the perfect dress for spring and summer. It is quite adorable for a vacation outfit as well.

How adorable is this dress?! A multicolor vacation round neck half sleeve shift dress has a backless short ruffle fringe, orange tassels and a gingham print with no stretch. I love the high waist and flounce sleeves, as it brings shape to this type of dress. It's similar to a babydoll dress. I think this would be perfect on the beach or anywhere with a lovely resort. I also believe this dress would look amazing at Coachella! The highlight of this dress? It's on SALE! 25% OFF and ONLY $16!

I kept my makeup clean and fresh with only a little added sparkle to my lipgloss. If you haven't checked out my latest beauty faves, I've featured the new lipgloss line from Urban Decay and it's so legit! The shade I'm wearing is called 'Nooner'. My go-to eyeliner as of late is the gel ones by Bobbi Brown. They don't smudge and are easy to apply. Highlighter is also Bobbi Brown, using Bronze Glow SS16. Nail polish by Essie, called, 'At the Helm', which matches perfectly with the orange tassels and wedges.

SKINNY LARAMIE | THE LUXELLE SILVER PLATED PURSE | BCBG HEELS

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY CHICWISH, DL1961 & AVEDA.

Happy Monday! Yesterday I shared a favorite new spring top that's definitely a statement piece. It's crisp white details definitely catch the attention of others, and in today's outfit I'm sharing another statement top that's a bit more boho and romantic as well as my new favorite pair of skinny jeans from a great jean brand that you all need to know about! I'm also discussing a little bit more about my hair cut & color, as a lot of you having been asking me several questions regarding where and who does my hair. Continue reading to learn more and also to get the scoop on where to purchase these items from my look.

SHOP THE TOP

This mesh lace pale pink blouse has a v-neck design with semi-sheer mesh, with crochet trimmed on neckline, as well as double layered bubble sleeves with elastic cuffs. The waist is also elastic, easily shaping the top into a beautiful silhouette. You can find this top at Chicwish, where it's currently 25% off! It's fit to size and I'm wearing a size S/M. It is also 10% polyester and lined, which is a win with the temperamental weather. But my favorite part of this blouse is the romantic-feels behind it. Wouldn't it look so chic with white pants or a white flowing maxi skirt?

SHOP THE JEANS

The Farrow Ankle is DL1961's ankle length Insta-slim skinny with a high-rise, contoured waistband and a high recovery, high retention fit that instantly slims the legs, midsection and waist without ever bagging, sagging or losing its shape. Laramie is a classic mid-indigo wash with rich fading, slashed knees and ravaged hems. Sizes run big due to stretch content - if between sizes, order one size down.

My bag is from a brand in Chicago called The Luxelle, and the silver plated clutch/cross is super unique and fun for several different types of outfits. I think it contrasts well with the soft color and feel of the blouse and indigo of the jeans. My green heels are from BCBG and I've been wearing them since I was in college! Uber comfortable to walk around in. (trust me... I've had these pair for a while now... lol.)

I am an Aveda ambassador, and I've been getting my hair cut & colored at Tribeca's Fourteen Jay for the past couple of years. David Adams is my colorist and Taylor Lambert is my hair stylist. They are responsible for my hair transformation with the fringe bangs and the major change in color. But mind you, it took up to ten sessions to get to this hair color while keeping my locks healthy. I hope this helps answer a lot of questions regarding my do. If you have more, don't be shy to drop me a message or leaving a comment down below!
