Hot Pink Monochromatic Outfit

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY PUBLIC DESIRE BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

What day of the week do you wear pink? A lot may say Wednesdays but why not on a Monday? I love the idea of kicking the start to the week with a splash of color. And a color I rarely wear - pink. Why? Not sure, to be honest, but most likely because I associate the color with feminine style. In today’s post, I’m sharing a monochromatic look that’s a surprising color to wear during the fall season, but can be an excellent way to re-wear some summer pieces from your wardrobe. If you’re a fan of layering and hot pink, definitely continue reading to see where to get similar pieces to recreate this fun autumnal vibrant colored look.

I’ve styled this top several years ago (link here) but have linked many other similar tops such as this one since it’s no longer available. But I’d say it’s a velour long-sleeved crop top, so a jersey sweater or even a knitted one would also work for a look like this. The slip dress is also no longer available to which I’ve linked a few similar ones. Boots are from Public Desire and are only $60 where they definitely look like they’re worth more. I love that they’re western snakeskin ankle boots but in a fashionable bright pink. A definite eye-catcher even by itself with jeans and a white tee.

Other accessories with this outfit are my favorite pink bag from Thesis Crisis and hair accessories from Hvisk and Neophyte Jewels. Since there were purple accents in the boots, I picked one of the barrettes made of acetate in dark pink and then a slimmer pearled one with red and pink tones to mix up the shade range. I think the block of the heel and other tones work well with someone who has darker hair like myself. What do you guys think about monochromatic looks? I did a red one (link here) last March that many of you loved. Let me know in the comment section down below! Happy Monday!

Neon Skirt Outfit

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY H&M, PUBLIC DESIRE, GIGI NEW YORK BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

One of the biggest trends to hit fashion in recent years is neon. But there are many ways to wear this vibrant color and in many different shades. A color I love during fall is yellow but how about wearing a shade of that in neon? I’d normally pair neon yellow with other bold colors like pink, orange, maybe a purple but what about a more muted tone such as grey or sepia? Can this give a fall/winter look? Continue reading to see how you can incorporate neon easily into your autumn wardrobe and where to directly find each piece from this look.

This calf-length skirt in soft, stretch velour has not only a wonderful color but the draping is also exceptional. I love velour as a material but it can oftentimes look inexpensive and somewhat tacky. This one definitely does quality justice. I paired the skirt with a chunky grey knit sweater that’s perfect for the fall and winter season. I wanted to see if this color palette could work: grey and neon. I think with the right accessories and colors together it can.

This green saddle bag works well with both the neon and grey. And I think with the sepia tones from the snakeskin boots, the color balance overall does work. Definitely not the norm, but I always like the experiment and see what can possibly work you wouldn’t see otherwise had you not tried to begin with. What do you guys think of this color scheme and look for the season?

Belted Scarf Outfit

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY AMEDEE PARIS AND CHICWISH BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

Belted scarf outfit

Happy Monday & Happy Fall! One of my favorite seasons weather-related aside, it is one of my favorite seasons in fashion as well. Layers after layers, boots galore, and a personal obsession with outerwear, I’m all for it. One accessory for the season that I’ve been really into lately is scarves: All shapes and sizes. And with the colder weather approaching, I love a good scarf that can keep me warm! So in today’s post, I’m sharing one way to style your scarf to look extra chic! Easy peasy, on top. Come check out the full story and continue reading to find out where you can get this look for the fall season!

When it comes to any type of accessory there are two qualities I’m seeking. One, the level of craftsmanship; and two, and the environmental requirements that are necessary for this day and age. Amédée Paris’s Signature hand-roll finished square scarf completely embodies this. Screen printed by French artisans. these scarves are 100% ethically-made & sourced Merino wool from New Zealand. Dimensions: 135cm x 135cm and can be styled many different ways, but a recent favorite of mine is the one-shoulder belted scarf look. It looks strong with a structured blazer or wide-leg pant, but it is the cinch of the belt that seals the deal if you will.

This look has an emphasis on masculinity, but just like any outfit, I love putting a twist on things, and the juxtaposition of feminine vs. masculine is something I do quite often in terms of my style. To complement with the scarf as well as bring a feminine touch to this look, I went with red strappy sandals and a couple of hairpins to soften up the more boyish side to this outfit. I love burgundy/maroon mixed with navy blue for fall, so I opted a beautiful white crossbody bag from Unitude that had hints of blue suede on the handle that goes well with the belt. Would you wear this look to court? How about if you were some sort of “Boho Lawyer”? Thanks for stopping by, I’ve gathered links down below and at the end of the post for future reference. Wishing you a wonderful week! xx

Salmon Pink Blazer

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY STYLEWE BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

When I think of colors such as pink and white together, I normally think this to be a spring palette of some sort, but I wanted to style a look for transitional weather with the same color combination. And since one of my go-to essentials in my closet has always been a good steady blazer, I knew I wanted to style one within these range of hues. So in today’s post, I’m sharing a pink and white look that has all the right pieces for summer, in-between seasons like an Indian summer, and my favorite season of all: Fall.

How good is this salmon-colored blazer? It goes perfectly with my bag from Thesis Crisis. One of my favorite ways to style a blazer or power suit lately is pairing it with a simple sports bra, like this one that is unpadded and super comfortable for warmer weather. To help not have the black stick out, in not a good way, I wore these resin hoop earrings which also blend well with my hair color. All in all, color choice is always important to me when styling a look together.

Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? With these sleek Palazzo pants, they work perfectly in transitional kind of weather. Works at the beach or in the city - I’ve always enjoyed pieces that are used for more than one purpose. To balance the contrast from the pink and white combination, I wore red-tone strappy sandals. I’ve been really into 90s style as of late, and these kind of shoes are just that. Plus who doesn’t love a low heel? Wishing you a wonderful end to summer and an enjoyable return to fall activities!

5 Ways to Wear Rock N Roll Boots

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY A.S. 98 BUT ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

Happy Wednesday! How is everyone’s week going so far? Last time on the blog, we shared 5 ways to style a classic white crossbody bag, with tons of transitional weather-appropriate outfits, but now that fall is quickly approaching us, today’s post is all about one of my favorite accessories during my ultimate favorite season: Fall boots. But what’s the catch? You know your girl’s style is all about the rock n roll (and if you’re new to the site, Welcome! and now you know lol) so I’m sharing 5 ways to wear rock n roll boots for fall. These looks work for back-to-school, a leisurely relaxing Sunday, boss lady moves, and even music festivals. Continue reading to see full visual story along with where to shop each look!

WEARING: PURPLE SWEATER | POLKA DOT SKIRT | PURPLE MOCASSIN BOOTS

Nothing like a pair of studded colorful boots to get the maximalism in me going. Featuring a wrapping front panel, burnished leather, silver hardware, and scalloped trip, these moccasin inspired rock boots pack a strong statement. So I styled it to the extreme with a vibrant purple chunky knit sweater that’s perfect for fall, along with a polka-dot frill hem knit skirt in black. I think the textures and patterns work well together, along with the colors.

WEARING: BOHO DENIM DRESS | OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

Festival season isn’t quite over yet! Why not party in something fun and breathable? This denim maxi dress I’ve had for a while, but doesn’t it go well with the over the knee boots? I love how these boots were made without feeling restrictive or formal. The casual silhouette features a studded cuff and an exposed zipper that can be worn either zipped or open for an even more relaxed look (and added room at the knee). Also would work well in transitional weather with the denim and leather.

WEARING: WHITE BLOUSE | BLUE JEANS | RED ANKLE BOOTS | CLUBMASTER OPTICS

Now what if it’s the weekend and you’re not about making a huge entrance in some extra AF outfit? What if it’s just a jeans and t-shirt kind of day, but you still want a little chicness to go with your look? These red ankle boots are a subtle yet elegant pair with an upper supported by a solid stacked heel, making it a superb complement to both skirts and jeans. I love the small heel to add height, given that I am petite. Always adds length to my legs which can never be of any harm! ;)

WEARING: DARK NAVY TRENCH DRESS | WESTERN ANKLE BOOTS

Every woman needs a western bootie in her collection, and I think this pair has the perfect silhouette for everyday wear. Featuring dainty studs, comfortable elastic panels, and a capped toe, it works very well with stronger, power-looks such as this amazing trench dress. You could easily swap this boot with the tall ones from the second look and each outfit would still look great! The versatility in this boot is probably one of my favorites qualities behind this collection. This look is definitely great to wear for a meeting or even a trip down to the horse barn!

WEARING: DARK BROWN POWER SUIT | BLACK BRA | COMBAT BOOTS

I’m such a combat boot kinda girl! This is probably my favorite outfit out of the five. It screams confidence. The bold silver hardware gives this boot real edge, and you get a peek from every angle; heel piping, rivets, exposed zipper, and a studded tongue. I kept the laces loose and untied to give it a rougher look to the entire outfit. What do you guys think? Which one is your favorite outfit? And which one was your favorite rock n roll boot? Drop those comments down in the section below!
