Most of you know I'm not much of a girly-girl. I don't wear pink, I rarely wear dresses and am as far from prissy as a woman could get! Why should boys have all the fun when it comes to wearing the pants in everything? Since when can't a gal wear her big girl pants and be taken seriously without the sole form of sex appeal? Fashion is all about the art of expressing yourself through style and trends. And lately, I'm feeling LIKE. A. BOSS. Girls run the world and this mixed play on masculine with feminine into this look is exactly my mood as of late. Instead of the regular blasé sequin holiday dress getup for your next Christmas party/event, why not roll through looking like one of Helmut Newton's tough, fierce and empowered (slightly masculine) female subjects?

The wide-leg striped pant fit me like a glove. I feel like a total bad ass when running around the city in them! Like Superwoman! With its tough masculine quality, I paired these trousers with a gorgeous, soft h-line pearl sweater. And since it's way too cold to be wearing strappy sandals bare, I added in some black tights to help finish the overall black outfit. Additional accessories are the Oliver Bilou Taylor bag and my new favorite Daniel Wellington watch. Aren't they both so wonderful? Sleek, minimal and chic. Love!

Stay tuned for one more post this week! On Friday, I'll be posting a new self-portrait series. Things might get a little saucy up in here! You've been warned! ;) Happy Hump Day, guys...

Season's Greetings! The last month of the year is always crazy and with the holidays around the corner, I've never been so busy with work! It's amazing I'm somehow able to manage it all with only 24 hours in a day, where even though it never feels like I'm doing enough with day-to-day meetings, events, photo shoots, and creating + editing content, I feel really good about where I am heading in my career. It finally feels right!

With that being said, I have some exciting news! I'm going to be a fashion blogger mentor for students in New York City who are passionate in a career such as mine, where I'll be giving personalized feedback on how I come up with creating content, finding ways to drive traffic to my blog and how I earn revenue from it. I am incredibly honored to do this as I've worked with children in the past as a figure skating coach. It's remarkable how everything always comes together. I'll be sharing more on this in the next couple of weeks - I'm very excited for this opportunity!

Lastly, today's look is brought to you by this stunning Dress Lily collarless ombre faux fur coat. Isn't it darling? I paired this shaggy coat with BDG jeans (my fav from this year), Aldo studded boots and big silver hoop earrings. I like to keep a fierceness in my style because I can be an intense person! It's who I am, no apologies. To heighten the look and make it a little kinky even, I improvised with a wrap-around choker and used it as a belt! The handbag is from Madora and the aviators are by this really cool brand called, Fello Eyewear. You guys should go check out their sunglasses. Should you buy a pair, use my code, 'suzannespiegoski' to save 15% off your purchase!

High School Vampiress

WEARING: ROSEGAL BLACK LACE UP JUMPER | SPARK PRETTY RED VELVET SLIP DRESS |
ANGELINA SHOETIQUE OTK BOOTS | ROSEGAL SILVER BEAD HOOPS | ROSEGAL SILVER RINGS

A couple of weeks ago I attended a pop-up event that only carried collector items from the fashionable 90s time period. Spark Pretty is a store filled with vintage items from this decade and I was lucky to find a one-of-a-kind red velvet sleeveless dress. I love it's variation in length, short in the front and long in the back. But now that's it's getting colder in New York, I couldn't just wear this gorgeous piece alone! By the way, how adorable is this dress for Holiday events + parties?!

Heavily into layering this AW season, I paired the dress with a chunky, black lace-up jumper from Rosegal. They have great, affordable trending pieces in fashion and accessories. I love Rosegal so much I even accessorized with jewelry from them as well! Their stacked rings are super chic and the single bead hoop earrings bring sexiness to any outfit. The final detail are these killer over-the-knee platform boots from Angelina Shoetique. These boots have a life of their own and definitely was the inspiration behind the title of this blog post! Makeup mostly by Urban Decay and Dollup Beauty.

What do you guys think of this emo/grunge/darker look? I certainly don't dress like a high school vampiress every day, but it was so much fun styling these pieces with a different concept we haven't done yet! Always willing and able to try new things and taking risks in fashion is only part of the fun when it comes to styling. Enjoy the weekend! We'll be back on Monday with a new fall style story with Thermos & JORD Watches (giveaway included) so stay tuned! :)

But this was a White-lash against a changing country.
— Van Jones

Last night I went to bed around 4am. I couldn't sleep. The election was far too important to miss, let alone far too nail-biting to take your eyes of the television set. Every vote set its fate for the future of our country. Amongst friends and colleagues, I'm usually uncomfortable talking politics. It's not because I don't care or am afraid to speak my mind – it's because I care too much for the people I know to lose them over such a topic.

Being half-Korean and half-Polish, female, and from a multi-cultural background, I know how hard I've worked to get to where I am today. But after last night's historic presidential election, I feel squashed. I feel heartbroken. I feel my country is not listening and therefore, not learning from their past mistakes. I worry for my future and our peoples' future. I thought the past eight year's progress were built on hard work and trust. But this was a White-lash against a changing country. It is a complete step backwards to where we were heading to.

This election proves this country is not ready for a woman to be a president and sadly also demonstrates how much this country still hates women and minorities along with its lack of culture. To be raised in a state that's suddenly turned red is disheartening and shocking. I am disgusted in what I've been seeing over social media since we found out Trump will be our next president. And today I cried over Clinton's emotional concession speech, a painful moment in American history.

What is happening in our society where we think it is perfect okay and suitable to elect a candidate who's never had any political experience, let alone the knowledge or temperament to handle real-life situations as the President of the United States? And that with the right loopholes and strategic pulls, anyone can become the leader of the free world? I've never felt so shaky about the stability of our country and also the world. How can we go from the arc in losing and move forward? We have to accept what is and at least try to give Mr. Trump a chance to do good. Maybe he won't do everything he says he will because when it comes to politics, there's so much fluff and bullshit along the ride, you never know what's true and what's false.

But I still hope, like many of you, that we will prevail and strive forward to make this country still the greatest country there is. Be kind to one another. Not just in the next few days but always. Never forget that your adversity and uphill battles will never go unacknowledged and that there's still a glimmering light shining at the end of that tunnel. Soldier on and continue to earn your stripes. I love you, all. Take care. Until next time. ❤️❤️❤️

Neutrals with Black Satin, Velvet and Blues

WEARING: H&M TURTLENECK SWEATER | THEORY SATIN DRESS |
OLIVER BILOU AMY BAG | EGO OFFICIAL VELVET BOOTS |
ARGENTO VIVO GOLD HOOP EARRINGS | H&M WOODEN BANGLES

This post is sponsored by Oliver Bilou & Ego Official. All opinions are my own.

Fall staples this season in my wardrobe are definitely neutrals, black satin, velvet and blue tones! I'm not one of those girls that wears one piece once and that's the end of it. I like to economize. I like to get creative. AND I love to take risks and give fashion a play on its seriousness. Such as the ultra-trending 90s comeback. I even went to an pop-up event last night in the city that solely had collector items from this time period! The 90s Forever store was filled with vintage items from the 1990s bringing a nostalgic set of rare goodies ranging from all sorts of clothes to toys. I found a dope-ass burgundy velvet slip dress (you can get a sneak peek of it on my Snapchat/InstaStories) that I can't wait to style!

Velvet is really in right now and for all the right reasons. It's plush, fun and versatile. My newfound obsession is these rich purple velvet ankle boots from Ego Official. Aren't they bomb?! I love the luxurious feel without them being too over the top or gimmicky. It can elevate any simple outfit with its pop of color and chic look. I literally can't stop wearing them, on top of how great they look the ankle boots are extremely comfortable to wear while running around town all day. On average, I walk about 4-5 miles everyday so I'm not a frequent 5+ inch high-heel wearer. I gotta get that cardio in somehow... thanks MaQ! ;)

Blue complements with purple well. And this Oliver Bilou Amy bag goes perfectly with my purple velvet ankle boots. I love the vibrant royal blue hue as well as the quality of the bag. Only $100 bucks! When I received it in the mail, the packaging was flawless. It even came with a purse dust cover which is always a plus for me. Keeps the bags in top shape. The tassels and zips of the bag bring a playful twist on its classic structure, and I love the side pocket that can easily fit a cell phone or small wallet. Oliver Bilou also has other differently styled handbags such as a hot pink one and a sleek black with rose gold bag. Check out the purses at their site and use my coupon code, 'suzannespiegoski' to get 10% off your purchase.

I styled chunky wooden bangles with a camel turtleneck sweater both from H&M. The drawstring of the black satin dress from Theory is supposed to be tied around the neck as it has short sleeves, but I improvised and wrapped it around to give it a sleeveless look. The result also gave me pockets and the added detail from the drawstring finessed the entire outfit. Lastly, my gold hoop earrings are from Argento Vivo. You can shop similar products down below. What do you guys think? Fashion yay or nay?
