Happy Monday, folks! This post is for all the tomboys out there who are not that crazy about playing dress up, or more rather dresses either. Not that I’m completely against dresses, but I’m just much more of a jeans/pants type of gal. I have been this way since I was a child. And I know a lot of other girls who’s style is similar - not prissy by any means. So how can you rock a casual date night look that doesn’t involve a dress? Continue reading to learn how leggings with a tweed coat can dazzle your date along with feeling completely like yourself and best of all, comfy!

I know, I know. Many of you are probably already doubting leggings with a simple fall/winter coat would be enough to sparkle up a look, especially one for date night. But I just don’t think when it comes to women’s style, that a dress should always be the answer. What if it’s your first date and you want a casual look that says you’re not trying too hard? As if you effortlessly put this outfit together and even though it’s not fancy it’s still chic af? We all want that wow factor for our dates, regardless if we’ve been married for years or are in a new relationship. Well, look no further with this flickering attraction double breasted tweed coat by Chicwish! Only $62 and a complete Chanel dupe (hey, I’m not mad about it), it’s my new favorite day-to-night outerwear.

This coat looks fantastic with just about anything. And it’s versatile enough to wear it at the office all day and then straight to your dinner date. I could wear this coat with jeans, a skirt of many different colors and perhaps other textures such as tweed or silk, it would also look amazing with wide legs, trousers and yes, even a dress. But given that your girl loves to mix certain styles together, I chose posh with rebel rocker chic, my go to for an overall confidence boost. Tell me you don’t feel more bad ass in leather, faux or pas.

I say a good way to add that extra sparkle to impressing your date is a great makeup look. Nothing to the extreme, (hey if that is your thing, no judgment) but a good eye-popping color effect to attract attention to certain features of your face, such as your lips, cheeks, eyes. The power of makeup is to accentuate/enhance your natural features. So in this look, since I loved the small tints of purple and pinks from the coat, I went for a fuchsia pinky makeup look. I think these kind of pinks are great for olive-tone skins and brown eyes. What do you guys think of the makeup here?

To balance the mixture of posh and rock, I went with over-the-knee black boots from one of my favorite UK shoe brands, EGO. And I love my new shoulder bag from Paul’s Boutique London. The different textures go well with the tweed and faux leather leggings, and what is also great is the handle of the bag, which has spiked detail studs along the shoulder area, which keeps with the edginess to this look. Monday Blues? What if I told you there was a way to polish up your winter wardrobe as easy as 1, 2, 3? Today’s discussion is the white talk. Nah, not the political kind. But fasssshuuuun. Lolol. Ready to luxe up your outerwear collection? It’s one and done with this tweed coat boasting a double-breasted button closure, front flap up pockets and elegant fringe. The added pearls on the cuffs exude that sophistication and wintry feel. This coat run at $108 - really good deal for the quality of this piece. And HURRY - there’s literally only 5 LEFT! This fall/winter coat can be styled in many ways. With a beautiful dress, midi skirt, jeans, trousers and more, it’s a rebelliously chic winter coat to have in your closet! I styled this piece with a lot of white, that being my focus color of this outfit palette.

I’ve worn these boots with a red metallic dress during NYFW (HERE) but how perfect are they for the fall/winter season?! These beauties are from Public Desire and run for only $65. I love the flared block heel and pointed toe along with the metal hardwear detailing on the sides. Edgy yet still refined. To have my legs elongate further, I blended them with the boots in tightly cropped white jeans by Articles of Society. The snug/fit of their denim is ridiculously comfortable.

To tie in with the elegance of the coat, I accessorized with this blue bag and some pearl earrings. The bag definitely helps keep with the palette of blue and white, and not blending too much white together where you’ll suddenly disappear. (or even worse, looking like Casper, the friendly ghost.) Another trick that helps when wearing white? Go with cooler tones with your makeup! It tends to “frost” things up… think ice queen. (but minus the bitchiness lolol) The combination complement with each other and in my opinion, cooler tones gives more way to the face. The Addams Family - Halloween Style

You guys!! I was too excited to wait and share our Halloween costumes this year! In the past, we have been the ‘James Bond’ family, ‘The X-Files’ family, and now, ‘The Addams Family’. I went as Morticia, my husband is Gomez, and our German shepherd dog, MaQ, is Cousin It, along with The Thing! Look closely you’ll spot him in the photos! First of all, how freaking cool is my husband? When I gave him the idea initially, I’d thought he’d cringe at the idea. His natural hair is salt & pepper (my silver fox as I call him) and he’s not one to ever do anything crazy with his hair, but he was all for it! He literally went out and helped out, even finding washing hair dye to get his Gomez look. I helped with the eye makeup which is simple black eyeliner and for the brows and mustache we used black mascara. As for MaQ, we got an extra long blonde wig and a boiler hat for Cousin It, along with a pair of black sunglasses.

My Morticia Addams Halloween look is all by PrettyLittleThing! I love this brand, so I was very excited to partner with them to create our annual look! The black lace dress is modern, perfect for this temperamental weather we’ve been having, but you can layer it with a black turtleneck and tights to wear out and about in colder weather. The heels are also from PLT along with the black faux fur bag. Those three items falls in about $150, but I consider it an investment because I will definitely be wearing all three pieces differently many times over. So in a way, multi-use lolol. Makeup was completely done by my girl, Analise. We met during NYFW where we just collaborated on a fall look solely using Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and I loved her so much I asked her to do my Halloween look as I knew it would be a bit of a challenge to get the look being that I don’t have the eyes like Morticia, but was really confident in her ability and voila! She killed it! And I love how modern it is as well as the attire. A very modern day Morticia, if you will. Want to get a makeup style/look done by Analise? NYFW SS19 Outfits

Hi, everyone! Sorry I’ve been majorly MIA on the blog this month! I’ve been away traveling during fashion month and just came back from London a few days ago, straight away jumping into seven different campaigns, all that needed to be shot here in New York, hence my absence in Milan and Paris this season! But watch out February, we’re going to try to make it a full complete month for the very first time… so I’m coming for you! Finally got around to sharing all my looks from NYFW this season, definitely more than the usual seven, as I ran around to a few pre-fashion week events and presentations. I was definitely into mixing prints and colors, all the while keeping my laidback style with a tinge of rebel rocker chic.
