Summertime Snacking with My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream

This post is sponsored by My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

I'm more of a dessert person when the temps are warmer and now that summer has finally arrived what is better than finding two loves in one? I'm talking mochi and ice cream combined, how yummy does that sound? It's the perfect pairing for anyone with a sweet tooth, especially to anyone who is always on the go or to those that just like to kick it back at home and unwind. So basically it's great for everyone! Continue reading on to learn more about mochi, if you don't already know what it is, and also why you need to get your hands on a box of My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream asap! There are also shop sections for both my outfit and my two most favorite flavors that I'd recommend trying.

Back to the mochi at hand! If you're wondering what My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream is, it's soft mochi dough with very delectable ice cream in the middle. These snacks are not only the cutest little things, they're also the yummiest of the mochi ice creams in the market. My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream comes in 8 appetizing flavors, and my husband and I's most recent favorites have got to be  Cookies & Cream and Mint Chocolate Chip right now! Let's just say we're already out of it, and I cannot wait to grab another box (or two). These two boxes from this post may or may not have been completely consumed while on set!

So are you ready to blow your mouth’s mind? My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream is taking over snack time ALL the time! Why wait 'til after dinner? It's pre-breakfast, post lunch and/or a midnight delight. It's great on Monday morning to shake off the last of those Sunday scaries. A mundane meeting made wayyyy better by sneaking a little bite of your favorite boisterous balls. It's perfect for picnics, car rides, carousels, beach walks, boardwalks.......and pretty much just about any other summer adventure you can think of. Like here where we literally stopped in the park after lunch to sit down and devour these cute little bites. So stop with the boring snacking and make your chosen bites more bold, beautiful and all around better with these balls!

Pooltime with Ramona

WEARING: VICTORIA'S SECRET BIKINI | AMSCAN MUSTARD YELLOW BANDANA |
EGO RAINA SANDALS | BAN.DO GRAPEFRUIT COOLER BAG

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY RAMONA.

It's wine... but cooler. What is pink, keeps you hydrated and happy? Meet Ramona, the lovechild of a mimosa and an Aperol Spritz. If you're a fan of Aperol Spritzing and something more citrusy like grapefruit, then this is the drink for you. Ramona is a ruby grapefruit wine spritz made with organic Zibibbo grapes grown in Western Sicily. Bright, aromatic, and refreshing, it doesn't need a glass, a bottle opener, or an occasion to drink it. Continue reading to see me chilling in my very own pool on my rooftop (I'm super ballin' haha!) and to learn more about this great new summer drink you all need to know about!

Ramona is an organic, all-natural, gluten-free and vegan wine spritz. And I do enjoy a little something citrusy during the hot summer months, not too much of a drinking those super sweet fruity cocktails, and this wine spritz is legit - so refreshing and tasty! I even took full advantage of my favorite summertime hangout spot, my rooftop with a kiddie pool shaped as an elephant. Yep, you read that correctly, lol. We just got through our first heat wave this summer here in New York, so it was perfect timing to unwind with drinks and a pool all to myself! You can safely guess I received a few tan lines from this super fun shoot!

The brand was also sweet enough to send me a summer kit, including of course their drinks that I love (seriously though, low in alcohol and the best fizzy drink out there right now), a pair of really cute pink sunnies, straws, sweet and sour grapefruit candy, this adorable fruit bag from ban.do that is also a cooler, and this mini-inflatable drink holder shaped as a grapefruit. My bikini is from Victoria's Secret (I linked a similar one for $19.99 from Target here) and I kept my hair tied back with a mustard yellow bandana. Who else loves to tie scarves, ribbons, bandanas into their hair? I think it's a great summer accessory. The kiddie pool is from H2OGO!™ and you can bet I'll be using this bad boy again - especially on those hot sweltering days here in the city!

Periwinkle Floral Dress

WEARING: ZEFINKA BOHO FLORAL DRESS | EGO BOOTS | ALLES BAGS

THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY ZEFINKA

Got a case of the Monday Blues? Fear no more! This dress will kick any start of the week's ass! It's really great for summer as the material is thin and super breathable for even those hot summer nights! As usual, I love to do mix-plays on styles, combining them together and making them work! So in today's post, I'm combining this very bohemian blue floral dress with some of my more edgier staple pieces in my accessories. Think biker chic mixed with the boho! Continue reading to see the complete shoot (let's just say we had fun shooting in the wind!) and to directly shop the items to kickstart this Monday! Woo Hoo!

My blogger babes will relate to this. Ever go out to shoot and you get to your location, everything is set up, you get to your first frame and suddenly the weather becomes uncooperative.  Gusts of wind, God forbid downpouring rain, hail, sleet, snow, or all of the above, there's nothing more frustrating than not having any control over Mother Nature. This happened while shooting this dress, but instead of whining about the strong winds I embraced it while laughing and dancing! So when creating content, there are no excuses, and you should be able to get something out of it if you're a true creator. Obviously, you don't want to shoot a bright-colored sunny outfit in crappy rainy weather, as the aesthetics may not complement well with each other, but then again, how do you know until you try? Like Tim Gunn says, "Make it work!" and just adapt. Any blogger using an excuse of a rainy day for not being able to shoot is just lazy and not as ambitious as they 'claim'. #SorryNotSorry

Of course, I adore floral prints and the color periwinkle. It's probably one of my most favorite colors, ever! And I just love this dress from Zefinka. At only $34, the price is right with the quality of the dress. It's tailored to fit you well along with very cute black tassels at the sleeve to keep with the boho feels of the floral print. I paired the dress with my black Ego boots and black fringe bucket bag from Alles Bags. I think the dress would work well with black open toe heels for the summer or even a pair of light blue espadrilles, but I went with something a little different to show you how much you can style with just one dress! You can even tuck it into jeans or a skirt and make the dress into a floral top! I know that would look very chic as well.

It's going to be hot as hell in the city today so if you're in town, be sure to stay cool and stay hydrated! So so important, especially when the humidity is legit unbearable. Ugh. Good thing I have a ton of editing to do indoors. If you need me, you can find me behind my computer for the next couple of days. I have a few exciting events later in the week that I can't wait to share with you guys so be sure to follow me on Instagram to follow along on my stories! Have a great week everyone, catch y'all back on here very soon

Thank God it's Friday! Not that I live for the weekends, but the past couple of weeks have been jammed pack with work and though we work every day, we do make time to unwind and recuperate and not work as much as we do during the week. One of the highlights from my week was having lunch with RoC® Skincare and Good Housekeeping Magazine - a magazine featuring articles about women's interests, product testing by The Good Housekeeping Institute, recipes, diet, and health, as well as literary articles. We took a tour of their offices in the Hearst Building (fashion goals!) where we got to know more about the skincare line, see their tester stations at first glance and also had lunch in their private dining room where all the First Lady's have dined! I felt so honored to have been invited and learned so much about the testing process from beauty products, electronics, house appliances and more. You can see it all on my Highlights on Instagram!

Today's post is a mixed play on boho chic and the famous movie character, Rambo. Random fun fact: Sylvester Stallone was the first male actor I saw nude on screen! Ha ha! I'm really into styling different pieces from different eras and 'genres' if you will because rules are meant to be broken and challenged. So I took some military-inspired styles such as the bandana along with the dark army green color. The standard black tee is probably the most comfortable black tee I own and is from L23 - a fashion label based in Kazakhstan. And these jogger pants are from Johnny Was. I had shopped these pants at a new store opening here in NYC and when I had stumbled upon them, they were the last pair and in my size! I took it as a sign and brought them home with me. They are currently sold out (what are the odds!) but I found them in navy blue here

Logan is a structured mini bag from Paul's Boutique London with twin handles and a detachable cross-body strap. It comes in this edgy dark teal and dusty pink star design, and features a top zip closure with further compartments inside. The front of the bag has the Paul's Boutique logo embossed on the front and a luggage tag attached to the handle. I've been carrying with me everywhere and have been getting loads of compliments on it! It's only $109.00 +tax but the quality and style make for a really great deal! They also have it in light pink, silver and a variety of other colors.

What do you think of this outfit? Do you like the mixing of military and boho chic? What would you like to see more of in terms of content on MaQ + Suz? Fashion? Beauty? More lifestyle like recipes? I miss cooking, but honestly, don't have the time! Travel? Leave your thoughts down in the comment box. Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend and a Happy Father's Day for all those celebrating this Sunday, x!

Rooftop Mornings with Activia

This post is sponsored by Activia but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Lately, I've been really taking in my mornings with a little me-time before starting my day. Especially when the past couple of weeks have been pretty grueling (14-16 hr work days) of meetings, events, shoots, editing and then finding the time to rest and recuperate. Which is why I'm so excited to partner with Activia, a probiotic yogurt that is good for everyone. And now that it is summertime, one of my favorite places to hang in the city is my rooftop. It's not a luxury building kind of rooftop, but one that is peaceful and quiet in the mornings, so much so that I've been enjoying my breakfast while reading and catching up on emails before heading out for work. The best part? I have the whole rooftop to myself with the written word and a yummy brekkie. Continue reading to learn more about my two-week Activia Challenge experience and how these delicious yogurts help support your digestive health on top of being absolutely delicious!

Only 60 calories per yogurt, I tend to have one in the morning and another during lunch time. They're contained with loads of probiotics (the good kind) that help regulate your digestive tract with fewer tummy aches and discomfort from bloating, indigestion and more. I started to notice a difference within a week after consistently eating two Activia yogurts a day. I love how light and flavorful the yogurts are, unlike some yogurts that are too dense/thick which I'm not a fan of. My two most favorite flavored yogurts are peach and strawberry-banana, blended not the fruit on the bottom kind. What's your favorite flavored kind of yogurt?

I find that taking the time to relax before the day starts makes me more productive and at ease. I'm not so much a scatterbrain, whereas hectic mornings will leave me all over the place; forgetting things and more disorganized. I also find that eating properly is a MUST - and yes, I am so guilty of not always eating properly (I'm just a firm believer in the pleasure of food that I can't restrict myself to the enjoyment, even if that includes consequences!) But since incorporating Activia into my everyday diet, I have little to no stomachaches leaving me with a content belly. Lastly, reading first thing in the morning, whether the news or magazine article, blog post or a really satisfying book such as 1Q84. Haruki Murakami is one of my favorite writers and I have read many of his books. If you are a fan of complicated love stories & time travel - he's your guy.

Why not give Activia a try today?! Click here to get yours where you can also get an ibotta offer and save when buying the products at your local Walmart! Don't forget to drop your favorite flavored yogurt and if any Activia experiences you'd like to share with me and our readers in the comment section down below :) Wishing you all a very awesome Wednesday!
